Old or unsuitable motorbikes, distant places, poor weather and gravel roads, these are the common threads in my motorcycle travels. I emigrated to Canada from the UK in 1977 to work for the Ontario government as an archaeologist but soon fell in love with Canada's north. For the past few years I have been exploring it on my various Moto Guzzi motorcycles. When riding in Canada isn't on the cards, I often return to the UK to ride, hike and explore my home country.
